About the Role:

The Library Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of library operations, including strategic planning, staff management, budgeting, and community outreach.  This role demands a forward-thinking leader who can balance tradition with innovation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·        Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with community needs.

·        Manage library staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.

·        Oversee budget preparation, grant writing, and resource allocation.

·        Champion library services through outreach, partnerships, and advocacy.

·        Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

 

Qualifications:

·        A Bachelor of Arts college degree preferred.

·        Obtain State of Iowa Public Library certification within two years of hire.
