Painting Classes from Jul 21, 2015 06:00 PM to Aug 11, 2015 09:00 PM
The Denver Public Library has teamed up with Canvas and Concoctions for two painting classes in July and August. The adult class will be held on Tuesday, July 21 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Titled “Dandelion Dreams,” the class will be taught by Jodie Victoria and acrylic paints will be used. The Library staff will provide a desert bar. Then on Tuesday, August 11 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. we will host a children’s class titled “Pastel Butterfly.” The cost for each class is $35.00 with $7.00 of each registration going to support our butterfly garden. Registrations are available for pickup now at the Library.
Bremer County Conservation Programs from Aug 06, 2015 01:30 PM to Aug 25, 2015 07:30 PM
During the month of August we will have two programs in our garden area presented by the Bremer County Conservationists. On August 6 at 1:30 p.m., the naturalists will do a program on butterflies for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Play Animal Olympics and learn about butterfly adaptations. Then on August 25 at 6:30 p.m., individuals, families and Scout groups are invited to participate in Monarch tagging at the Library. You can learn more about Monarch butterflies and their life cycles by viewing the Library's Monarch Nursery and watch their development from egg to butterfly.
New Playground Handprint Project Aug 12, 2015 from 01:30 PM to 05:30 PM
Make a tile with your handprint to put along the fence line of the new playground at City Park (by the splash pad). This program will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12 at the Library, and people can drop by that afternoon whenever they please.
August Book Club Aug 04, 2015 from 06:30 PM to 07:30 PM
